Romulan Warbird -- Bridge

Kal was the first to step out from the bridge into the corridor. There was no way she was going to let the CO take point – it was her job was to make sure that he and the rest of the Away Team stayed alive though maybe in Solomon’s case I may make an exception .
Standing still, she used the light from her phaser rifle to check both sides of the corridor; seeing nothing untoward, Kal signalled to the others to join her and they then began to their way to join Major Blast in Engineering. She heard Pierce move close behind her and then the bulky clunking of Files and Solomon carrying their generator.
Solomon held his side of the Generator with his left hand so he was free to use his tricorder in his right. He seemed almost disappointed that they weren't meeting any further resistance.
Ardon was hauling the genetor with both hands, supporting the generator so Solomon could use his tricorder, although he seroiusly doubted he could see anything through the emistions the generator was giving off.
The away team proceeded further down the corridor and finally stopped at the turbolift.
"Are the lifts functioning?" Pierce asked. If they were it would make their jobs much easier.
Ardon let his side of the generator down to the floor before accessing the turbo lift panel, reading the Romulan text "Seems the turbo shafts have been damaged."
"Lovely." Pierce replied. "Suggestions?"
Ardon looked up "Walk?" He said cheekily.
Solomon asked, "Can we climb down the chute? Less likely to encounter resistance and the other half of the Away Team is goign to be meeting us at the bottom of the shaft."
Ardon pressed a few buttons and the lift doors opened, revealing the long drop to the Engineering g doors down below, "After you." he said to Solomon with a smirk.
"How are you going to get the generator down?" Kal asked as she looked down the shaft.
Solomon looked at her, "Well obviously what we need here is someone strong and viral and not past their middle years to lug it down on their back. Now let me see, who amongst us is the most fit, strong and able to lift heavy objects? Why Lt Armitage, I do believe that is you!"
Kal glanced between Pierce and Files, not sure of their reaction to Solomon's words. If she were them, Kal would kick his arse into next Sunday. But instead she drew a deep breath and ignored him. "Does anyone else have any reasonable suggestions?"
Solomon sniffed, "Fine. Let's do everything YOUR way!"
Ardon stepped in "Now now children, no fighting." He returned to the consol "I have an idea. According to this schematic, unlike federation turbo lifts, the Romulan models use Magnetic relays," Pushing a few buttons there was a click, a creak, a rushing noise and suddenly the badly buckled turbo lift shot past, free falling to the bottom of the shaft far below. Then, with a few more presses there was an eerie crackling noise and suddenly strips on the wall glowed greenish blue "We Can attach the generator to the strips and gently lower it to the engineering section." He smiled at the others "Sound like a plan?" He asked
Kal nodded. "Anything that doesn't see me being used as a pack mule is an excellent plan."
Pierce nodded as well. "Sounds like a plan. Get this thing lowered and we'll make our way to the engineering section through the jeffries tubes, or whatever they call them on a Romulan ship."
"Aye sir," Kal said as she moved to help Ardon and Richard lower the generator onto the magnetic strips in the lift shaft.
With a slow care Ardon and the others attached the generator before finding the nearest access tube, it was going to be a long climb.

Romulan Warbird - Engineering

Blast turned to Sockett, "What have you recovered."
Sockett answered, "We have 20 disruptor pistols and 10 disruptor rifles. All have between half and three quarters charge."
Blast then addressed his entire party, "Commander Pierce's party is coming to engineering, so we are going to clear a path between enginnering and the turbolift." Blast then turned to Cyprus, "Corporal, you'll lead Phillips and Sockett to the turbolift to meet up with Commander Pierce and his party. Each of you will carry two disruptor pistols and your phaser rifle. Once you link up with Commander Pierce, your mission will be to get him and the rest of his party back to engineering unscathed."
"Aye Aye, Sir." The marines answered in unison.
Blast looked at his men, "Go on three." He said. Blast then raised his hand and counted with his fingers to three, then said, "Ehdhihss". The door opened revealing a hallway full of Romulan zombies. Blast and the marines started firing at the Romulans. When a path was opened, the marines proceeded outside towards the turbolift, with Blast firing the opposite way in the hall. "Ehdhihss" Blast said, and the door closed again.

Cyprus and the marines fight through the Romulan Zombies to the turbolift to link up with Pierce's team.

Jessica had been looking at this with complete horror "We have got to get the hell out of here" she said
"I know," Blast replied. "But, first we have a mission to complete." Blast started towards the containment chamber.
